Student Accommodation at I.C. Nagoya

Student Accommodation

I.C.NAGOYA offers a range of student accommodation options to meet your needs.

Most international students studying Japanese at I.C.NAGOYA Japanese language school with us start in our student dormitory, conveniently located only 10 minutes on foot from both our Japanese school and Nagoya station. Nothing beats walking to school each day, except maybe how easy it is to see the best of Nagoya City, and even the rest of Japan!

Other options include a homestay with a Japanese family, or renting a private apartment.

School Dormitory

Our student dormitory offers both private and twin rooms, in a building with other I.C.NAGOYA students and Japanese people too. These rooms offer everything for a simple life in Japan, at an affordable price.

The dormitory is contracted and paid for 6 months at a time. We recommend students stay in the dormitory for their first 6 months in Japan. Please note that availability may be limited, so we recommend applying early.

  • 10 minutes walk from school
  • Pocket wifi available
  • Minimum contract period 6 months
  • Only for students without a guarantor

The initial set includes a comforter, mattress futon, pillow, covers, blanket, mattress, toilet paper, garbage bags, kitchen mat, and some other items. If these items run out, you must replace them yourself.

Note: You will need to take all your things with you when you leave the dormitory, or dispose of them yourself.

Homestay with Japanese Family

I.C.NAGOYA is proud to work with Homestay In Japan to provide homestay experiences for our students. While a homestay is more expensive than staying in a dormitory, it can be a great way to extend your studies, by practicing your Japanese with your host family after classes are over, and seeing a side of Japanese life that is otherwise inaccessible.

Private Apartments

Some students choose to rent an apartment, either by themselves or with friends. I.C.NAGOYA staff are happy to assist you in this by providing information on real estate agents that offer multilingual support and other services for foreigners. Please note that while you can use the school as your emergency contact, neither the school nor individual staff members can become a guarantor for you.

The school dormitory is very comfortable and located in a very quiet and safe area. There are many convenience stores, shops and restaurants around as well!

Though small, the rooms have everything you might need. It is safe, as the entrance doors have automatic locks! The building and elevators are checked regularly, so you can stay there without worrying!

The staff at I.C. Nagoya offer full support, so if you have any issues with your accommodation, they can help you resolve the problem very quickly!
When I first came to Japan, the staff guided me and provided full support for visa renewal, so my stay remained very comfortable, even though I am away from my home country.
